I'm nearing 70 mage while doing slayer, but I'm pretty clueless about which weapons to use. Armor is pretty self explanatory, but weapons are quite different in 2007 compared to when I first started playing RS in 2010. With the recent changes to combat style you can use a Slayer's Staff, Staff of the Dead, Staff of Light or a Void Knight Mace to autocast Crumble Undead for a quick switch + click on the Zombie Spawn to kill it without having to use Crumble Undead on it.
