The 2 biggest problems that I had with the narrow pickup was (this is with the RB560 baler) leaving hay in the field with hay going past the pickup ends and material being pushed ahead of the pickup and not feeding in with the lighter and smaller windrows. If you look at yours you will probably find that the edges are rounded off. Those are what grabs the hay and gets it rolling. Also helps to feed it faster when starting the bale. The first thing to check for the poor cut is the net brake. Open the front shield and try and rotate the roll of net in the direction it turns when wrapping. But if I was baling with just a tractor and baler. (No rake baler combination like I use) then I would go with the 560.
