My gen 2 sled went through the ski tips. It did make a difference in deeper snow. Also had to play with the length of rope. Closer to the sled was better and easier in deep snow. Now a longer rope is nice on bare ice. Got hit in the legs alot with the sled. I use it to pull out a hub sometimes. That is a cool design, looks like adjustable height. If someone had an old pop-up canopy shelter (i have 2 for camping) they could salvage the legs and they would work perfect and be push button adjustable.
